The Holy encounter

During my ACIM studies over the weekend this quote struck a cord with me and resonated.

“When you meet anyone, remember it is a holy encounter. As you see him you will see yourself. As you treat him you will treat yourself. As you think of him you will think of yourself. Never forget this, for in him you will find yourself or lose yourself.”
– A Course in Miracles

It goes to show how nothing ever is outside of ourselves, but is always created by our inner decision in choosing to see with either fear or love.

Returning of the Power

It’s so beautiful in giving us back the power to our own lives. To create them just as we want them to be. Whether it be based in love or fear is up to you. You alone hold the key to your life, your experience.

And we get to choose over and over and over again. There’s no judgement, no final day, no last chance. For as long as you reside in this human shell you’ve chosen to call home for a while, you’ll be given the chance to change, to choose differently, to choose love, to come home.

Holy encounters and idiots…

I don’t know about you, but I’ve met plenty of idiots in my life and I’ve had my VERY fair share of crappy experiences, oh and I still do.

However, two very distinct things have happened since I started my spiritual and personal development journey.

1. I clearly see, sense and feel that people are only idiots because I am. I’ll admit it, there are days when I’m hurting and so I attack the world, to have it attack me back, to hurt. When I choose to give it up, to forgive myself first and foremost, my outside world changes.
2. I know, I live in a world with a higher power who’s sole intention and purpose is the complete, total and utter development of my full potential as a being. Meaning that everything is always, always, ALWAYS a possibility for my further growth.

It’s all a reflection, don’t trash yourself

The life you lead, the experiences you have, the business you build, the relationships you nurture, they’re all a reflection of what’s going on inside.

Now if you wake up, look around and don’t really like what you see, don’t start by thrashing yourself. It won’t get you anything but more misery. Recognize it for what it is. An image you’ve created based on fear, and then… let it go. Forgive yourself and choose differently.

Choosing differently

In being willing to choose differently we give up our preconceived ideas and notions, based and built on our past and history. You open yourself up to the endless stream of love and become a vessel for the greater good of all involved.

Focus

My focus this week whether it be when I’m working on my business, with my clients or throwing barbells around during CrossFit will be on this. In making every encounter holy by choosing to see the person I meet in the highest light possible. Even if it’s not what they’re showing me I know it’s what they are, deep down. Love and light.
