Before I took the leap as an entrepreneur +15 years ago I had a fantastic corporate career with the trajectory of becoming a c-suite level executive.
On the surface I had it all; very well-paying job, amazing colleagues, extra healthcare, apartment in the city, ability to vacation every year, company car, closet full of amazing outfits…
To the outside world I was a success.
With nothing more than a high school diploma and 4 years in trade school I’d build an amazing career.
Yet I couldn’t feel my heart.
– and I had a mindset deeply rooted in fear.
One I had to unravel the hard way, brick by brick, layer by layer, veil by veil.
Scared shitless about what people would think, do or say about literally anything I’d share.
Coupled with a heavy dose of perfectionism and slight control freak.
For years I stayed with the “safe but OH SO dissatisfying bubble of more and more dis ease. Earning a living, building the career I thought I was supposed to have while suppressing my highest dreams and deepest desires.
